    Default Moving to big Pots

    Hey guys,

I'm moving my 4 week old seedlings into there large pots over the next couple of days. I read something about getting the soil ready in the big Pots 24hrs before you change them over!

I can't find the article again, is this correct & if so what do I do?

    Thanks

I've never heard anything about doing that I've certainly never done it myself.

Load of old bollocks...Your compost is good straight from the bag...When I use compost I like to pass it through a sieve first just to break down any clumps and remove bits of twigs etc...If you're using canna specific compost like canna, plant magic, plagron, bio-bizz etc it should come already screened no further preparation is required...

Well unless you want to improve drainage, then add 15~20% perlite

Apart from adding dolomite lime to get the "soil ready" I did bring into the house my last batch for 48 hours, but this was to warm it up to room temp. as was a lot colder outside. I didn't want to shock my plants too much when potting on.

Will sieve it 2mo, good idea. I'm using Bio-Bizz All Mix

    Thanks again
