    Default CFL grow.

It's coming along, got 4 1600 luminous 100w daytime bulbs on my plants right now and looking to put into flowering in a couple weeks, will this be enough light? My buddy's grown some nice buds with some cfls and he says the setup looks decent. What do you guys think?

You'll struggle flowering three plants with those lights. You really need a minimum of 100w (real draw) per plant

I added another light if that helps, now Five 1600 Luminous bulbs and also added in another smaller fan and a digital humidity/temperature gauge. I could add in another bulb or 2 I have 3 more laying around... Whatcha think???

Why not just use a HPS?

From what I've read plenty of people get ok results with CFL but pretty sure most would agree that HPS will deliver better yield.

I have used CFL for seedlings and early veg and I think it's worked well, but switched to HPS after a few weeks.

I agree 100% that HPS will deliver better yields.. For those interested, have a look at the first grow journal.

I have a question though.. I just started a couple under 20,000 lumen 4ft fixture, T5 Fluorescents. I was hoping to be able and veg under these T5's for at least a month, and hopefully two months.. How long do you think I will really be able to veg under these ?

If your using cfls just get a 300w dual spec for about 50 quid and lst them to fuck to get decent light penertration.

I now got 5 100w daylight 1600 luminous bulbs in my setup, I think hps would be to hot in my 16" x 26 cardboard box.

hey mate if they work for you and ure happy why not.
personally in that space i'd prob go down the road of 125w cfl duel
the plants look happy enough but like said better more powerful light and the plants will be merrily ever after
    good luck
