Default Answered: can not hide smell

    Hi ALL.

I am having some trouble with smell, I am going in a room i made in a loft that is all kitted out. I am using 6" rhino pro carbon filter, the van and the filter is 6" 150x600mm 900 m3/hr L1. i am vetting in to a old gas fire chimney we do not use. thinking the hot air will get pulled out the top of the house, it is not blocked at the top as we used it 3 years ago.

But down stairs smells bad i have even put ona block in the filter but still can smell it bad people can smell it when they come to my house why ??

Can we assume you have negative pressure in your grow room? & are you using temperature controlled fan adjusters?

I suspect a crappy filter. I suck out of my 4x4 tent with the filter in the tent and I exhaust directly in to my house, the room next door with a 6" fan and mountain air filter. AS long as I do not open the door to the tent there is no smell. So even if the exhaust is not getting outside, with a good filter it should not smell still. I have had all kinds of company, even the in laws, and not one notice of smell. They would let me know if they did and it is not something I wanted any of my company to know.
