Compete novice

Hi all, I'm a complete novice please help!

My mate has just moved who used to get it for me, I'm pushing 50 and don't want the hassle of looking for it so I've decided to grow my own.

Could you please tell where to start?
or is there a manual or link to what I should read?

I'm just thinking of growing the minimum to see if I can do it.

Any advice much appreciated!

welcome mate anyone can grow do you want to grow indoors outdoors are you on a budget there's alot to consider when starting to grow ?

I'd browse the forums have a good read find out what suits you and your budget. plenty of helpful folk around took me 3-4 months to get going, joined in march have my 1st signs of buddage just appearing now happy days.

Welcome to the forum fella, like the others have said, you will need to set yourself a budget and look at the space you have available to you to work out what is the best method of growing

Its always best to ask questions, remember the only stupid question is the one you don't ask!

Do your homework and have a good read up and you will be growing weed better than anything you have ever paid for

you'll be right as rain on here bud plenty of good folk willing to help others
my advice would be to search in the mentering section and see if anyone willing to help
just to add if and when you decide to do a dairy or journal there will be loads of guys checking in giving you hinters etc
but i think the mentor will get you started with a good water/feed programme thar wiil enable you to find your own feet

.....first rule to follow ...tell no one .... start with a soil grow first rather than hydro Cost you about $ 400 total for a tent ,exhaust fan ,fan speed controller, carbon filter ,circulation fan and good LED light or HPS ..most buy these items from ebay . Then you need grow pots ,soil ,fertilizers ,Perlite , timer , ducting, maybe extension cord ..these can get at any big box store read a lot on THCtalk

It can be a bit overwhelming at first, I myself got a copy of 'Marijuana Horticulture: The indoor/outdoor growers Bible' by Jorge Cervantes. It allowed me to get a grounding on the basics, at my own pace, before venturing online and fine-tuning that knowledge. I will say however that the outstanding individuals on here would probably provide you with a sounder starting point than any book could.
