Marijuana beer.

So I was wondering what I am going to do with the trimmings from my grow.

I have decided to merge 2 of my hobbies together. For the sake of staying anonymous I won't be getting into too much detail.

What's the best way to extract thc? Also I am wanting to use the leaves and not the bud or not much of it.

I want to use no more than 2oz.

The recipe I'll be using is for an IPA I grow hops in my garden and I know there are pretty close relatives in the plant world.

Recipe I'm looking at is this:

2.5kg white pale malt.
300g crystal malt 20L
500g Vienna malt.
25g saaz hops @ 30 mins boil
1 Oz of bud at 15 mins left of boil
(for none brewers this is a rolling boil so 15 mins on a rolling boil)

Once cooled I will ferment it and possibly dry hop with 1 Oz bud.
This is just soaking the bud in the beer for 1-2 weeks.

Will this extract thc?

I can also add the bud at mash which is held at 68 degrees for 1 hour.

Which option should I be taking?

This will Make 23L of beer which can be 50 bottles or a small keg.
I have a bar setup so it would be keg on draught.

Once I've made the beer I'll update this thread with the exact recipe.

I brew as well mate, id bang it in at the mash stage. That should give you plenty time to extract the thc if thats what your after. If its flavour your after id leave it out.

How did that work out? Get you high?

My lungs are bad got asthma so I either cook mine into edibles or vape. This beer idea seems to be a winner so far. All my mates are wanting to try a batch when it's done Haha.

Going to boil 1oz then put 1/2 Oz in at 15 mins before flame out (when you stop the boiling)
I also might up the malts to create a 6% brew.

Any good threads with people using the leaves into something that will get you high?
