It'll be interesting to see how your new room turns out, I'm going to follow this, if you don't mind.

Thanks every 1! Your all more than welcome. I also perform much better with an audience! Lol

I'm gonna try get the rest of the insulation boards cut to size tonight (right after I've voted the arse out of my local church). Then on Sunday I should be able to finish the outside and insulate the rest of the shed roof. 😆

Hello all, as I'm sure you know it's Sunday! I'm on the build again. I promised to have something that resembles a g room, hopefully you can see its getting there.

Today I cut the 4 mdf sides and finished inserting the insulation boards into the frames. Then, due to lack of space in my shed. I had to formulate a plan because if I put the frames together then I couldn't get behind 2 of the sides to screw the shell on.

So I took the left hand side and screwed the MDF to the frame at the correct height to allow my Base and another layer of insulation. Stood that piece in position and got the other side that I couldn't get to together, same as the first piece. Then screwed the corners together and away we go.

Then I lay the 1st insulation board on the concrete floor, then the Base on top and screwed the 2 sides down ( checking the floor is level so you don't get problems if you have an accident with feeding). Then screw the remaining sides to the Base and at the corners. I used a few clamps to hold everything square whilst screwing together. I don't think it would be possible with out the clamps. For now I've just rested the lid on top as I'm gonna cut the MDF lid and ceiling tomorrow. (MDF ceiling so equipment is easily fitted).

The extra 2 bits of 2 x 2 above the door has been done for a reason, all will become clear when it comes to the door arrangement. The door you can see through is 500mm wide, there is also a 750mm wide door on the left hand side wall of the pic.

You might have picked up on the fact that I'm using 2 layers of 50mm insulation on the floor and ceiling for extra protection.

Tonight when the kids have gone to bed I'm gonna have a look at hanging the doors and clearing up the shite I've left everywhere. I'll do another update later when I've finished out there. Thanks for popping by😆

I've give it another couple of hours and hung 1 door. I had to fit a support across the door because the wood was bowing. Didn't find that out until I put the wood in the hole. So I braced it square and refitted the insulation boards then hung the door.

I remembered to leave the hinges protruding the door by 6mm. Ready for the MDF to cover it.

Will be doing a bit tomorrow after my daughters sports day!(yay!) So I'll update again this time tomorrow.
