Default * SLH ScrOG * coco/autopots/600w hps - mentored by bethmeg

    Welcome to my new diary.

This is my second grow and bethmeg will by my mentor. 😎

I never managed to get this diary up with the issues with the forums so I'll try fill in the gaps

Decided to go with greenhouse seeds super lemon haze and use the scrog method.

    Equipment:

    - 1.2m x 1.2m x 2m grow tent
    - 4" rhino for extraction
    - carbon filter/scrubber
    - Autopots 4 pot system 47ltr res
    - 125w CFL for seedlings
    - 400w mh for veg
    - 600w hps for flower
    - ph meter
    - ec meter
    - hygrometer
    - oscillating fan
    - suspended scrog (chicken wire)

    Feed/medium:

    - canna coco mixed with perlite
    - clay pebbles for bottom of autopots
    - 3 part plantlife nutes (grow/micro/bloom)
    - SuperB kelp
    - Fulvic Acid
    - boosters for flowering

I will be trying to 4 way LST these babies as soon as possible to try get a nice spread.

    Here's a few pics

So far I have germinated the seeds using paper towel and plate method.

Rooted in small Rockwool cube insert then placed into 4" Rockwool cube.

Placed cubes on a makeshift tray to let them air prune a bit before potting into autopot system.

    Enjoy!

To answer some of your questions Beth the autopot systems are a bottom feed system.

They sit in a tray with a float which drops and allows more feed to come into tray once it's empty (when the plant has drank it all)

Which is why I added some perlite just for some extra aeration because I don't necessarily need he medium to hold feed for that long.

There is a layer of clay pebbles in the bottom of each pot so that the roots don't sit directly in the water.

The tray doesn't refill until it is completely empty therefore giving the plants a wet and dry cycle but once it's empty it automatically fills back up.

    Thanks again 😊

    Interesting.

Sounds fairly simple that does, looking forward to seeing how it performs.
So its just a case of topping up the res, great stuff, perfect for scrogging.
Have you roots down or are you top feeding for now?

And of course Im looking forward to seeing the slh being as ill be doing it very soon

Youve moved the tent, are conditions better now?,hottest day of the year tommorrow so youll soon know.

If anyones lurking, feel free to give moral support, praise, advise, the more the merrier,Azaz is gonna do a killer scrog

It all sounds quite simple but I bet you all you like I run into some problems with it. Hopefully it is just a case of top the res and let them go...

I am top feeding for now until roots get down then I'll flick the system on and see how they take

Temps have been stable up until today!! Crazy heat where I am, just checked the temps peaked at 31.9 today

Come flower I'll 12/12 through the night

    Update.

Got up today to find my 4" rhino has packed in

So had to fork out £135 for a new extraction kit but I've upgraded to 6" to help with temperatures.

Plants are looking great, didn't have time to get more pictures as I'm running late for work but I think they might be close to the size for topping.

I'll get pics up tonight if I could have advice on earliest I can start lst.

    Thanks

i will follow along with this one, as i am also doing super lemon haze in a screen,.
Mine are a bit further forward than yours tho, im away to flip in a week.Im also in RDWC in a 240*120 tent, but the principle is the same, and with Beth as your mentor, you cant go wrong.

Its a beautiful strain to smoke, and was recently described to me as "super charjed weed", which is pretty close to what it is.

    best of luck with it

I just lowered the lights as the stems seem really thin, thinking they might be still stretching a bit
