Default Big Sam Allardyce new England manger

Old big sam is the new England manger..

Eddie howe,Steve bruce and USA coach Jurgen klinsmann were all linked to the job.

I think big sam will be able to get the best out of our over paid premadonna football team.

i hope he shakes up the team by choseing some players who did not make the final squad..

he also seems to get the best out of his players, even if they are fighting for relegation most of the time..haha..

Just wondered what you guys thought of his new appointment and his style..
The above is just opinion..My opinion is law in my world..

Under qualified for the job, has won fuck all in 25 years of club football management, most of it a lower level. Will add no credibility to an already piss poor CV. We were a joke at the Euro's, good luck qualifying for the World Cup.

phil brown as number 2! can't see it working myself, primadonna players wont respect him, his cv is worse than hodgsons. hes had one job where there was big expectations and tools to work with and it didn't work out ( Newcastle).

I am in my fifties, spent so long tagging onto the dream and the hype and the hope of watching the national team achieve something and raise peoples spirits. Done the flag outside the house, the magnetic door stickers on my car, flags fluttering out the car windows, worn the shirt blah blah. This time I didnt bother, no expectations. It was like watching headless chickens running round, painful. We have a young team going forward, a press that raises people up then assassinates them. I suggest Big Sam goes spends some time with Eddie Jones and learns how he changed English Rugby then imports it into football, I wont hold my breath through :-)

IMHO it is the players, not the manager that are the issue....

I've always assumed that the more money gets poured into the club game and contracts the international side will decrease as clubs don't want players away getting distracted/injured with the stupid amounts of money they now have to pay them, I imagine the pressure not to 'waste their time' with the national side is quite heavy from some clubs to players :/

just think of the billions of pounds that have gone through our game since sky took over. and 25 yrs later our 2 best candidates for the england job are steve bruce and sam allardyce. we couldn't be any worse if we tried.

and the embarrassing humiliating show thats been planned for july 30 in london to 'celebrate' winning a tournament on our own ground by a dubious extra time goal 50 fucking years ago just highlights what a pathetic sporting nation we really are

A tad harsh on the team of '66 methinks, I've seen footage, albeit probably slightly biased and, generally speaking, I'd have to say based on that we were worthy winners of that particular tournament, dodgy goal or not and as for being embarrassed, the only ones who need to hang their heads in shame are Roy Hodgson and the team who's latest escapades, culminating in the recent defeat and exit from the Euro's by the mighty Iceland are worthy owners of the scorn & disdain the English soccer fan currently has for their national side.

i know its only half time but that was fuckin drivel. can anybody on here tell me why rooney is in this team? we've left our brightest midfield talent on the bench to accommodate him. same old same old, youd think hodgson was still in charge. at least they can only get better.
