Default Preclinical study shows cbd protection against brain damage caused by oxygen depriv

This problem has instigated the search for neuroprotective drug medicines. Some substances have yielded positive preliminary results, but it is still uncertain whether they will be proven safe and effective in the long term. Meanwhile, some researchers have turned to Cannabidiol (CBD). Besides being seemingly safe, cannabinoid has shown significant protective effects against excessive excitation, inflammation and oxidative stress in mouse and pig models of HIE.

Excessive excitation means seizures. That's what a seizure is essentially. No need for human studies parents all over the world it proven that to the medical community already.

Reduction in inflammation is also well known and has many other implications as far as the brain is concerned.

What's interesting is there been studies with THC used intravenously instead of high-dose steroids in traumatic brain injury and in those studies THC works better at protecting the brain from injury then high-dose steroids.
