Default Cutting from a flowering plant ?

OK so I want to take a cutting off my favorite flowering plant. I already know you can take cuttings from them but I want to turn it into a mother for more cuttings for the future. Anyone done this after 8+ weeks flower ? What about genetics and hermies and all that ?

    Thanks

I've done it. It takes a while to reveg it but it turns into a monster bush. Deffo worth waiting the time for revegging!

fook after 8 weeks flower surely your better of re-vegging the whole plant after chopping..

Just keep a few branches on it..

Try to take your cuttings with as little bud as possible. Usually when you do clones you're in a little bit more humid environment with less air movement than when your flowering a plant. If you're trying to get a clone with too large of a bud on it, it will rot.

Nice one fellas was gonna use some root riot cubes. Will turning it into a mother for more cuttings effect genetics or increse change of a hermie because of the stress ?

Your clone will grow out just like the plant taken from. If the plant you took it from didn't hurmie it won't hurmie either. However, over time your clones will become less and less vibrant, or grow with less vigor than starting from seed.
