Hi mate. Hope some of the hydro guys comes round for advice.. I know most of the hydro setups are loud... not exactly sure how much! Some say pumps are even louder than extraction fans!

I have both the 9810 and 9820 and they are pretty silent to me. Try hanging it with bungie cord

haahahah, maybe i should of worded that a bit better. All i can think of now is a dude trying smash in a nail with a drill..... but yea i just went to the hydro store showed the guy a video and was shocked at how loud it was. turns out hailea do a 98 and a 96 series iv had two of the 96 series and both have been super loud. after watching a short video the 9820 looks to be a lot quiter.

The 9820 and 9810 dont have a adjustment on them but they are powerfull im not sure if i would sleep next to them tho , they got rubber feet on them too. Keep the pump higher than the water level and try match l of air per min to l of water.

In the past I have had to have a piston pump and bid it in with a broken up pillow case, run an air pipe out of it and that sorted 90% of noise....

Problem for me with the halieas is the vibration more than the pump itself, try sitting it on some foam or a pillow bud
