Default What lights for low height grow room

Hi guys I am in the process of making a small grow room where I have an issue with height. Grow room is 1100mm high 1500 long and 1100 wide. Im planning on having 2 plants grown in soil, just working out what my options for lighting are. Would it be too low to use LEDs? Was thinking either a couple of 250w CFL in reflectors, or was hoping to use something like a ufo300 led panel or Mars hydro 240w or 480 panel. Would this sort of setup be suitable or is there anything else I should look at?

    Thanks in advance

If I remember rightly there's 2 reasons why you have LEDs a bit higher. I think one was for the foot print as they tend to direct the light straight down and two is so the light spectrums mix. I've had mine near on sat on top of the plants before though and only once noticed a bit of bleaching and burn

Also in that space think about pot etc and make the most out of the little space you have. People grow in tiny spaces

id go led with a very low scrog, i dont rate cfl mysel. ive used led to great effect. with the right training/scrog you will be fine. if your going for marshydro go for the mars 2 series, the old white ones are not very good.

I would Defo go for cooled hps like the other guys are saying, stay away from CFL in my opinion ( can be done but better suited for veg in my opinion)
Can't offer any help on led I know nothing about them.

Thing wot fucks it is temps and humidity spikes.
I give them a week once I pot up into 11ltr pots
Then I flip.with harsh bondage I was left with a ft
To light so we're talking 2ft plants.

I've recently switched to vertical bare bulbs and one thing I noticed is that I don't really need upper half of the tent any more lol... 😂

Light in veg tent is 50cm above ground and I'm just over a meter in flower with decent sized girls around them...

You could actually get away with two 250w dual spec verticals in there with no heat issues imp, that's if you need that much light...
