You don't see the rules when you sign up... You have to look for them. At least I don't remember seeing them till I hunted them down.

I honestly didn't see the rules when I made my account. It was after, that includes the 10 plant rule :/ doesn't mean it isn't there though.

Like most small print no one bothers to read it . They just click the button that says you have agreed to them . It’s no one’s fault other than there own for not reading the small print .

But at the same time, it's the biggest no-no in the rules apart from no dealing so maybe it should be up in lights the moment you join. Not a criticism just a thought 👍

How many times do members need to be pointed at the rules?

You need to agree to them to sign up... when you join there is a PM from Inky pointing you towards them too.

this rule was one that actually convinced me to sign up here. my goal when I first started growing was to get as much yield from the least amount of plants possible. the laws were very strict here as to the number of plants a grower was caught with that would determine if his grow op was personal or commercial.

way back in the day, some of my grow friends were doing the "sea of green" method...4 foot rockwool slabs with ten plants in each slab running up to 4 slabs. the method was to root them in the slab, and as soon as they had 3 sets of leaves, switch to flowering. they would end up with little 30cm tall (or less) plants with one or two buds on each, I thought that was crazy, especially if they were caught with 40 plants...the police seem to have a calculation as to how much each plant would produce and come up with a huge number, not taking into account that these were tiny little plants that maybe produced 10-20 grams each.

Just joined the site and a 10 plant rule seems fine , just be smart and selective, I am about to grow a small garden but will be mindful as when I get mother plant.
