    Default New plant problems

    Hello,

I've recent planted a few from seed and seem to be having a few issues. It's my first time from seed so not too sure what to do.

Although they're only a few inches big on has already a few problems.

First of all they seem to be collapsing under their own weight which resulted in the death of one. I have now used straws to hold them up in place.

Next issue seem to be a the leave are slightly turned yellow on some in places and I'm not too sure why or what to do. They don't seem to be growing much either.

Each only have 4 small leaves, the two originals and the two new ones that popped through.

They're under a 250W light, temperature only around 26, not sure of humidity but spray around the tent they're in a few times a day. No nutrients as yet.

How much water should I be using at this stage and how often? Also shouldn't start slowly on any nutrients at this point?

Pictures can be provided later today.

    Any help is much appreciated.

Hello Novice. I am sure we will find a solution to the problem. Is that soil or coco?

What soil are you using and can you upload photos please?
It's good you used straws for support. Will find a solution for the stunned growth as well.

When you say the two originals do you mean the cotys ? Click image for larger version.

so you actually have 1 set of true leaves and those?

Without a picture hard to say but the seedling should have enough nutrients in those cotys to get it rooting enough to take up soil nutrients,

a few questions to help, How far away is the light
how often you watering them and how much
what size pot and what soil?

    Thanks

Finally got some photos. As you can see they are all small and are almost two weeks in. Over past week there hasn't really been any movement and past few days some yellowing has started to happen. Not good for my first time from seed 😢
