I thought for under my tanks, heater, pumps, aircon, fan etc - basically anything that makes a noise and happens to be on the floor.

I dont use nft and pumps and that but my tent sits on some thick foam carpet underlay.Thats pretty good at masking vibrations.

Hmmm, both good suggestions, both I can get free/have so if they dont work its no loss I found with my wilma setup and lots of airstones running dwc I had mad vibrations, even with air curtains. I previously tried loads of towels and gym mats.

It's good stuff, haven't used it growing but have for other things in the garage. If you can get it for nothing then more is less 👌

you can suspend your air pumps to silence the vibrations on air pumps as well

heres another quick tip as well with air pumps , you notice how it silences if you hold your hand tightly round it you can also achieve this effect by wrapping a couple of times round the housing with electrical tape .*DO NOT COVER BREATH HOLES *

    hope this helps

I use the thin insulation that you get from B&Q that's like polystyrene. Fits an NFT 901 just right. Just sit the tank on it.

Edit: the stuff in your post is similar. That will do

I never even contemplated polystyrene..... I can get loads of that stuff free as well.... I might get a selection of a few of the above and try, see what works best for me
