filter plus fan

oi oi chaps.

quick question amigos.

8" Mountain Air Carbon Filter 200/500 740m3 or 8" Mountain Air Carbon Filter 200/1000 1610m3 with the 8" Gekko Acoustic Box Fan 1000m3

will be used in 1.2 x 1.2 tent and will be used with controller.( its alot for the tent i know but will be able to adjust speed and should come in useful for summer to )

thinkin going with the 740m3 and the gekko 1000m3 would there be any issues with this or does the CF m3 need be bigger?

any one used the gekko?

just thought i would get few opinions before i pull trigger

Gekko fans are the nuts, I had a 12 inch 3250m2 I think, was mighty.
I'd try and get as close m2 as you can mate even if another brand but if it has to be I'd go with the bigger one mate.

You will need the bigger filter mate, I have the same fan and use the Rhino Pro 8 Inch L1 200/600mm 1125m3/hr filter.

Trying to pull 1000m2 through 740m2 is going to put a strain on the motor of the fan.

As above, your filter needs to be above the pull of the fan

I've heard great things about those gekko and tornado fans, seen the 8" tornado which is basically the same as the gekko using the torin internal fan and it was impressive and not really loud, plus it had 4 big metal loop bolts on top to hang it up for even less noise from vibration

thanks for info guys. gona go with the 8inch rhino instead 600. and keep the with the gekko. cheers JTS.
