    Default Rinsing

    Hi all.
I am currently using pacha mama organic food and there cultivation calendar.now I know organic grows don't need flushing but this schedule has a last week rinsing.so my question is is flushing and rinsing the same and is it actually needed.

    hello mate
i do rinse my buds after chopping and before hanging. im currently on my first soil grow and will not be flushing. im also only using water and relying on the microorganisms to do all this for me as with the ph'ing. im just not sure here because it all depends if theres any salt build ups or any thing.
some one will chime in and help oiut soon but im pretty sure you dont need to flush in soil in organic soil in general.
    best wishes

Sorry jay just remembered this mate.
I do rinse my bud straight after chop/trim
3 buckets water, water bicarbonate soda, lemon juice, ice cold water it's a 3 step/bucket process my bud tasted much better after the first time I done it and I've done it ever since tbh.
    Peace brother.

The idea is that Organics dont need a "flush" or a "rinse" because they typically do not contain salt residues that build up over time. If an organic company advises you to "Rinse," its probably another way of them telling you that their fertilizers have some salts in them. Id flush if i was told to by my bottles. nothing too crazy i bet, plain water in the last bit.

That is not why you rinse you buds after a chop. Dust, residue from sprays and all sorts of other stuff gets onto the bud. A quick rinse using the three bucket system (there is a 4 bucket method too) removes all that and for some reason even makes the smoke smoother. Once you are done and you look in the buckets you get a bit of a surprise by the amount of stuff left in the water.

99% of folks prefer not to rinse.

No need to rinse if your intake also has a carbon filter on it
