What do you use to make the holes in the box lids for the net pots to sit in? I always seem to make an arse of it tryna cut the hole out

might be a bit late to reply, but can be useful for anyone else building a system.
I use a piece of wood with 2 screws in it.
I find the centre of the box lid by drawing 2 diagonal lines from the corners.
then measure your netpot diameter at the top.
Say its exactly 200mm for example.

Drill a small pilot hole in the centre of the box.
Then get a length of timber, say 2*1 inch. Drill a pilot hole about 30mm from the end in the centre of the wood, then another a further 90mm onward from this hole.
Screww a screw thru the pilot holes in the wood till it poking thru the other side about 5mm.
Now measure the distance between the 2 screws, should be about 90mm.
Now place the point of the screw into the lids pilot hole, and slowly start turning the wood in a circular motion. This will scribe a perfect circle 180mm in diameter. Now just keep turning till you eventually go thru the lids plastic (clue, don't do this on your best wooden floor )
Now your net pot will fit into the hole, and you will have zero chance of it falling thru the hole.
Because I'm lazy I used to just make the hole the same diameter as the inside diameter of the netpot, but either way works.
    Hopefully this is understandable.
You can also use a jigsaw, but ive cracked too many lids using these things, so just use my trusty timber and 2 screws.
