    Your background EC is the strength of the tap water (trace elements) before you add nutrients. You measure this with an Ec meter which you should have for a coco grow. If your in a very soft water area you may need to add nutrients sooner than you think.

    Ahh sorry wasn't aware of this but it's not been an issue before," problems stared, I know I live in a hard water area and ph is 7.6 before lowered.

    Indeed thou must feed from the off.

    I water the coco with nutes even before the seed is planted

    You could do with trying to get the temps up too,little cool that.
