Which method

i have my auto seeds and im about the germinate them. they are in a cup of water for about 6-7 hours and they sink but there are no roots that showed. should i put them on paper towels and wait for roots? or should i put them directly in soil without waiting for roots? do i really need to see them roots on paper towel?

Usually sink after a day then tap root a day or 2 after then into dirt mate👍

what thor said mate. once they sink get them out put them in damp kichten roll then in dvd case an stick it on top your sky box. works a treat

You should take them out of the water when they sink.

Then put them in paper towel and in the DVD box on a warm place like he said.

Yes mate exactly that, I bypass the paper towel bit as it's just pointless in my opinion.

I can tell you that I am 100% germ rate in paper towels only.

I open a jar 3 pieces of toilet roll in the bottom and dampen it. Seeds go in with a further 3 pieces of damp toilet roll.

Lid goes on the jar and the jar is wrapped in a towel and in the airing cupboard.

I can honestly say I've never had a bean not pop and most pop in 24-36 hours.

I'm not saying other methods don't work (because they obviously do) but if its good enough for cress when I was in primary school its good enough for cannabis now haha

What you are seeing is that there are many ways to germinate a seed.

Personally I like to use a Jiffy 7 for my seeds.

There is no one perfect or only way, there are many ways and what is right for me is not always right for someone else. Work out what is right for you so just pick one and go for it. If it works then keep doing it until you decide to try something else.
