You need to use an ec meter so you know where you are on feed amount
Your not talking ml like soil your talking .'s (points) and just one point can
Make the diffrence.wont need to flush as you should get a good run off
Every water anyway.flush is for the end or any problems.
If your friend has such good results why don't you take advice from him
    Rather than go it alone?.

hehe, the reason why ERBURT is i kinda dug myself a hole regarding grow styles with him, being as were cousins its proper serious lol...

I wasnt really talking about flushing to be honest peeps, just about running a plain (ph'd) water through just to help keep any undiluted salts on the move without adding to it. I shouldnt imagine I would have to flush until the last 10 days/week to be fair.

I just bought 3 grow bag trays 975x 400mm or so which should give me a versatile combination of trays for my limited run-off with my pots raised 75mm on the 125mm drain pipe segments to keep good air circulation.

Say for example you mixed 35L of nutes and ph'd it etc, how long can that resevoir stay within ph if its just sitting in the corner? I just wondered if ambient temps in your area/reaction to the nutes in the water starting to breakdown etc etc etc..Dont know why I just considered that really, does any of you know?

    cheers

2 weeks if you keep the water moving with an airstone. You will notice salt build up solidifying as early as 1 hour after you mixed the solution if left alone to stand.
