    Default HARVEST! When?

No it's not another are they ready sorry but I just been thinking and maybe as with most things nowadays overthinking.
It's that time again for me now and I just thought I've allways harvested just before lights on thinking that things are happening at the roots at night and chlorophyll in the leaves at daytime etc,
But would there be a benefit chopping just after lights go out?
Or am I wrong and it's better with lights on.
Not too bothered about all that 24 hour dark period and all that just like to know your thoughts.
    Blessings and gratitude

My parents had an Asparagus bed in there garden... It tasted beautiful - the stuff you buy in the supermarket, IMHO, has, 'gone over' its picking time... it'll just be chewy & flavourless
