It's just that simple. Nothing complicated to it at all. If it doesn't work when you do the bridging, unplug the power cord and plug it back in - everything should spin up.

I am going to Maplins in about an hour and need to know exactly what I need to purchase in order to build this perfect setup.

Can you please help me so I know what to get and don't look like a complete twat whilst there, Don't even think of telling me to get a bucket of condensed air or tartan paint because I know those tricks already LMAO

Thanks for any QUICK replies you can give me before I go, I have about 45 minutes before I leave for Maplins.

    Cheers guys and thanks

The only thing you have to plug into the wall is the power supply itself. Bridging the green and black wires is safe as it is low-voltage/low amperage and only a signal wire.

Maplin (if you are in the UK) are good for all the bits needed.

I would recommend a fan speed controller (about 7 quid) as you can adjust the speed of the fans. The speed controller is rated @ 6W so you can run plenty of fans through it (I have 6.... see my grow diary)

A note to using power supplies (if not already said): make sure that the psu can deliver MORE than the fans can draw in current. i.e. if the total current drawn by the fans is 1000mW then make sure the psu is rated at more than this. I blew up my initial psu (the black one in the photo above) because it was under-rated.

Also get a REGULATED one as it will be more stable. Again. Maplin do a variety of regulated 12v psus.
