Default Grow light suggestions for 1.2x2.4 tent

    hi guys

Currently have a new 2.4x1.2m tent and looking at getting 2 x 600w lights for it....

Do you guys have any suggestions?

Would 2 normal lights be ok or do you think air cooled is needed?.. ive had a look at normal, parabolic and also air cooled but would like some opinions

If i can get away without being air cooled it would be a bonus due to reducing fan noise but if you think i may have heat issues any advice or tips would be appreciated

    Thanks for any help

Sorry pal just to be clear regarding noise i meant if im not using air cooled lights i wouldnt have to use an extra fan for the lights..

However if you guys see heat issues arising i would go with air cooled if needed

    Thanks

Ambient temps in your grow area will play a big part in which light to choose for example if your growing in a cellar, outbuilding or attic through the winter air cooled won't be needed where as a heated bedroom it may be..

My choice would be 2 x 600w lumatek dimmable ballasts with 2 x parabolic shades and a 10" rvk extraction run on a fan speed controller. You can slow the fan through the colder months to keep your temps in check and crank it up through the summer months giving you more control throughout the year. The parabolics are great for spread light and disperse a lot of heat through the top of the shade preventing high temps.

I have found that air cooled lights have their own set of issues....mainly keeping heat up winter they suck....summer they are great

Thanks alot for your help guys parabolic shades were of interest anyway as they seemed to be middle of the road with regards to heat so thats the way i will go..

With it being winter it seems air cooled wont be needed

    Cheers guys
