Default Advice needed on 6 pot diy rdwc system

I've already completed a grow with a 3 pot system I made and it worked perfectly but I've now almost finished building my room in the loft
So I'm upgrading to a 6 pot system with a external res outside the room

Here is the basic layout of the system

They are 42 ltr really usefull boxes with a 78 ltr res
The pipework at the bottom is 40mm floplast pushfit connectors with washers inside and outside the pot

There are tank connectors on either side of the pots so there will be 2 returns or maybe 1 on the outside of each row of pots and 1 in the centre connecting each row of pots

I've also got floplast 22mm connectors and pipe (solvent weld)
For the spray bars running through the top of the pots

There are a few things I'm not sure on though

The size of pump needed I've got a hailea 8860 8000lph pump laying about
(Think it could be a bit overkill) which has got a 19mm outlet
so how would I connect that to the 22mm spraybars

Or would I be better running 2 smaller pumps to feed each row of pots

I'll get better pics when I go up later to finish the pipework off

    Would this pump be better

It only uses 50w instead of 200w with the hailea and there are a lot more options with connecting it to the spray bars

Here are a few more pics of the build so far

In not sure about having the returns on the outside now

I've got another 6 boxes the same size with the holes at each end of the boxes rather than the sides so I could do it that way as I plan on building a frame around them and using 20mm kingspan boards to box them in

Also I'm not sure weather to have separate returns from each row of boxes going back to the res or to join them and have 1 going back in to the res

    Any ideas ?

i would use seperate returns to the res, less chance of blockage, and use 2 pumps for the spray bars.
i also think 4 boxes would fill the space no problem
i used a hailea 8860 for 4 pots, which worked well, so maybe 2 ofthem.
    hope u have a chiller

Yea I've fitted 2 tank connectors for the returns as I was worried 1 would restrict the flow

I ordered the Jeboa 8500lph pump on Saturday as its only 80 or 90w and it'll make it easy to connect to the spray bars with the 25mm rubber pipe I've ordered

I went with the 6 smaller 42ltr pots with the idea of a shorter veg
with the the idea of placing the scrog screen about 18" above the pots
There is about 1 and a half feet either side of the end pot to the wall

I've re arranged the pots and placed the spray bars in the pots (they haven't been welded in place yet)

I've got spare tank connectors so could also connect the pots in the middle

For the spray bars my idea was rubber hose off the pump going to a t peace
Then a line going to the 1st pot in each row to this

Was also going to connect the spray bars from each row at the back of the system to even the flow to eachrow

I only came across Jessie's build last night, the best build I've seen by far
It would be perfect for building trees and the pipe work is a work of art

I would of replicated his system more if I wasn't so far in to my build already

I'm wanting to build a system with the shortest possible veg time yet still fill the screen so top once and super crop

Well I got a bit more of the pipework done today

Spray bars and return pipes connected to the res

Just waiting on the rubber hose and pump to fit to the spray bars 2 piece

Need to fit the last bit of pipe connecting the 2 spray bars

Once I'm sure everything fits it's just a case of building the frame for the scrog screen/insulating the pots and solvent welding the spray bars

I wouldn't use that pump mate, it's not just the lph pumps push etc it's how, that pump is great to push through a vortex in a pond I just don't know how to explain that I can't see it being fit for purpose in an rdwc set up!
I have an identical different brand pump for my koi pond and for me it just moves pure volume of water compared to the actual flow of water you want, arghhhh I'm not sure how to explain it, by all means try it, it's safe enough submerged, but keep us posted and it might jump out at me!
