Autoflowering pot size?

Ive used 11L normal round pots with good drainage (layer of sterile gravel) and good drain holes and not done too bad...

I reckon you stand a good chance in coco yes. Not sure you will get a full 20 litre airpot with soil. Love you to prove me wrong.

LOL, may have to wait a while. I'm building an RDWC after this grow. To be fair though, I think the Gimp on my current grow has a massive root ball, but that has had a very long veg time as I stunted the daylights out of it. I'll get some pictures up at chop day for a comparison.

Personally won't be going with the 10L airpots again, back to 15L for me.

Hey ThcDan,

I am using 16L custom smart pot type pots. My pots are 31 cm tall and 80 cm circumference. I made the pots myself and f...ed up 3 of them with a circumference of 60 cm and the plants in those pots are at least 1/3 smaller than the others.

Why the different size for coco? Does that go for peat too? I have been looking at coco to try something different.

What kind of pot size is good to use for autoflowering plant? Is it true that it's good to transplant the germinated seed to the final container because then it wont shock the plant? If it's true then the taproot will go straight down and all the roots will gather in the bottom of pot leaving most of the grow media unused? Hmmm...I don't know what to do. Any help much appreciated.

i just pulled my first autos last week from 20LTR pots and they hadn't used a third of it, even a quater to be honest! gonna try some 10LTR pots soon and see what they turn out........
