    New build to highest energy ratings has almost 100% got insulation in the cavity. so that my main idea out! The conduit doesn't look as bad as you might think fwank, I use it quite a bit.

    This new skirting board idea is interesting, I'd be very interested to see how that actually looks in the house.

    Just as another thought to throw out there, could you go down? under the floor boards on the ground floor then find a sneaky straight up to the attic?

    Armoured cable might not hide under carpet so well it's a chunky monkey!

    It's possible. With you having new build is your soil pipe inside or outside?

    You may be able to find some boxing in somewhere to run it up.

    It's totally fine under floors if toucan go that way.
