Yes mucka it's on a stand about 2.5 ft off the ground , this will be the 3rd time I've used the pots but I'm always looking to improve the technique hense the EC question as I was told I don't need to do it as no run off and gravity fed , up till now I only ph and they will be due a new batch of feed soon plus I am introducing pk13-14 so I may as well do it properly
I'd say always empty the res tank, give it a clean and then fill again with nutes. Then it's always fresh, especially if its a smaller sized res tank. I plan on maybe doing a diary next time i start some autos, I don't put nutes in my res, it's only water and a little bit of CalMag and i just hand water the plants with nutes so i'm not restricted with with what type of nutes i can use plus my plants are always at different stages so one tank isn't ideal for me

Walshy mate. Just get your plants established, turn the autopots on, start on a low feed and then increase the ec as plants get bigger.. Just make sure you have a small pump in the resovoir, just so it breaks the surface of the res... If using coco or clay pebbles, then treat as hydro ph 5.6-6.2.. If you dont use a pump to mix the nutrients your ph & ec readings will be in accurate.. Keep things simple mukka.
