    Default Question about CFL output

    Hi guys.

I am planning to grow 1-2 micro grows in an old chest of drawers and wanted to ask, possibly a novice, question.

I have 4 CFLS. They are 35w each with an output of 151w. So my question is do I have a total of 140w or do I have 604w?

    Cheers

140w mate. The output that is quoted is an 'equivalent' of incandescent lighting, meaning that you would need 604w of incandescent lighting to achieve the same out put as the CFLs provide

Thanks mate. Would I be able to get away with 140w for 2 plants?

I would personally aim for at least 100w per plant....

OK, I have ordered another set of E27 bulb holder and splitters and will get 2 more bulbs.

get an E40 holder and a 125 or 250 cfl if you want to stick with cfl.
