Like xmas.... another commercialised holiday to make people buy things they dont want, with money they dont have, to give to people they dont even like.... ok ok i know im a cynical old bastard but i agree completely with M_C, i tell my wife i love her everyday and she gets a surprise meal out once a month (roughly).

It's not just the flowers, chocolates & cards, it's the other, 'essential' stuff that the shops try to pass off on us... working in retail I see the cynical attempts to make us buy shite that we neither want or need.

The first valentine product that passed through our warehouse (in Nov '16!) was table runners with, 'Valentine' & hearts printed on them... WTF is all that about? Buy it, use it, throw it away - what a waste of money!
