Default Blues 2017 Variety Garden Grow

Hello Talkers it's that time of year again. Time to prepare for another year of outdoor garden growing

This will be a slow start diary until we reach spring so please bare with me..

    Line up

    Titan Sunflowers
    Sparky Sunflowers
    Salad Bowl Lettuce
    Prairie Fire
    Scotch Bonnet chilli
    Medusa chilli
    Numex twilight chilli
    De Cayenne
    Sweet Boneta
    California Wonder
    Money Maker Tomatoes
    Black Russian Tomatoes
    F1 Brussels
    Golden Ball Turnip
    Cauliflower
    Mixed Herbs
    (Basil,Coriander,Rocket,Mint,Chive,oregano,
    parsley and Sage)
    Lychnis Chalcedonica
    Razzle Dazzle
    Monkey Nut

I'll also be adding to this with a variety of strawberry plant clones and unusual plants from the garden centre once in stock.

Picked up a bag of jacks magic multi purpose compost which il be using throughout the entire Grow.

The quality of this stuff is superb compared to some. Real fine texture similar to coco coir.

Filled the small starter pots with the jacks and added BnQs mycorrhizal fungi which gave good results last year. Not a bad price at £5 for 150 grams.

    And in they went

Once sprouted il be thinning these out and taking the best through to repot.

That's all folks, thanks for looking in and fingers crossed for some nice weather throughout.

    Haha, like it

If you've got any more room for tomatoes 1 or 2 San Marzano's are always a good shout. Perfect for freezing and making belter tomato sauces with.

I've always had good results with Franchi seeds.

Good effort Blue. I'm going for a flower garden this year. No veg patch since moving house

Il take a look at those cunning, I planned to add an Alicante tomato in with them at some point. Had brilliant results from those last year, fast fruiting, big yield and a really nice taste.

Flowers only sounds good mate. Love a summer garden in full flower. Haven't you no room for a pot or two?

Love it, another easy and non spacious item would be baby carrots, harvest in 50 days. I love growing any kind of berries but especially strawberries! This site has me dedicated to a good garden again this year after seeing everyone getting there's ready.

I've got some autopots but I'll end up putting all my energy into those! Hanging baskets, Dahlia's and a load of bedding plants this year. One day I'll bring everything together but I might have to save that for retirement
