    Default Seedlings (light)

Hi folks my seedlings are about 1.5" in the rockwool cubes. I have a 125w cfl on them. Is it ok to put a 300w cfl on them now ???

But I think they can still grow well under the 125w cfl. How many do you have under that light?

125w should be more than adequate, fit you keep them close enough. Light drops off as the square of the distance. I start mine under a 20W fluorescent tube an inch away from the top of the plants.

I have 4 NL' s I'll just stick with the 125w for now. I take it I just feed them with weak solution ?
Tried to upload pic but didn't work I'm using my mobile.

I'd use the 300w now, my Seedlings are under a 250w cfl in a decent reflector from day one and they love it! Click image for larger version.

They would be more than capaiof handling any light now just start with it at a good height and just make sure you use the back of your hand to test for heat.
A 300 CFL you'll be able to get nice and close now imo brother

Simple answer is yes. I normally use a 300w CFL with seedlings in rockwool for the first week before going to 600w duel spec HPS. I have my CFL about 7cm from the top of the seedlings and it's fine.
