Heat Trouble in 2.5'x2.5'
It's getting hot in here!
So I started with a very basic normal reflector and 400W HPS in a 2.5'x2.5' grow tent. Heat was around 28C, so I decided to purchase
an air-cooled reflector. BUT, Since installing it, I cannot keep the heat below 32C!!
I have a 4 inch fan/filter setup:
And my hood is a 6 inch, so I installed adapters on it:
What am I doing wrong? CFM is more than enough...
I do have a 3'x3'x6.5' standing by if shit hits the fan. Maybe I should buy a 6 inch vent line and install the 6''-4'' adapters on fan and filter?
I dont know.. But im worried my plants will burn if this keeps up.

Is the bottom of the reflector open, or is there a sheet of glass across it?

Where is the tent and how the room is set up etc will play a bigger part than cool tubes brother.
Windows, doors in room open or closed? Any loft hatch?
What is the ambient temperature of the room? not the tent.
How is the intake to the tent set up?
How are you venting the hot air out of the room too?
You should get away with a 4" set up just with a 400w, if you have got the surrounding room set up correctly too

The bottom of the reflector is closed with a glass panel.
The room is a closet in my garage so air flow is restrained. But I did setup the exhaust vent so it exits the room. Temperature of said room is around 22C.
Intake for the tent U just opened the 2 small windows at bottom and have a fan setup inside tent to pull fresh air in.

You might need to upgrade to a 6" with a larger scrubber to move more volume. You probably could buy a small air conditioner for cheaper through and have it by your intake

Or buy a cooler running light like a cmh and a light socket adapter

I think once I get it setup in the larger 3x3 with better air intake it might improve..
For now I removed the glass panel, I will go back later and see if the improved air flow is sucking ambient hot air out better.
