Should be an interesting season, I've just read an article where Hamilton has said that he believes Ferrari will win the constructors championship after a good round in testing where they matched the Mercedes team and everybody says they are constantly improving. At the prices I'm happy to risk going with Ferrari. After reading the article if Ferrari are favourites then vettel must be a good shout For the drivers championship. I like Hamilton's team mate Valterri Bottas, he's been quicker than Hamilton recently but I'm not sure how much of that is down to the problems with hamiltons car.

F1 was far better and more interesting in the 70's.

Even the drivers these days are boring. We need more people like James Hunt around.

I used to live near Barry Sheen as a kid, another playboy and lively character. My father used to work with Dave Taylor motorcyclist, and used to bring home photos of him doing wheelies.

Back on topic... Who can forget Murray Walker? It was never the same when he left.

i agree about the 70's but would also put the 80's in there. Football was better, rugby was better even tennis was better. The 70's and 80's were golden decades for all sports probably due to everybody being drunk all the time. All the best personalities played in this era... George Best, John McEnroe, Ian Botham, lestor piggot, Jackie Stewart et al.

Slightly off topic but I had the chain by fleetwood mac on the other day. Great tune and always reminds me of the F1

So 2017 has started! Man I cant get over how sexy the new cars look, they actually look like the real deal for once.

What did everyone think about he first race? Melbourne is notoriously bad for overtaking so hopefully we see the true potential in China.

Me like a mug sat up all night to watch a very un-eventful race, apart from the pit stop which helped Vettel get past Hamilton and that was race over then,
least it wasn't a silver arrow that won a race for a change.....

i got up at 5.30 to watch it and fell asleep after the pit stop .

ill reserve judgement till after china about overtaking ability . loving the fatter tyres if only they could get back to the old black and gold jps livery sized tyres id be a happy man . That car was and still is in my view the sexiest F1 car ever

Bottas on pole for Bahrain, should be an interesting first couple of corners. Knowing Hamilton, he will go balls deep into the first corner and lock his brakes in a big plume of smoke. Definitely feeling F1 on an Easter Sunday.
