posting weed...

hi guys,

noob here with a question...

I got a mate to send me some weed in the post (both sent and received in the uk) and it hadn't arrived within a week (was expecting it within a few days?)... but I receive a card from royal mail saying that I need to pay 1.50 as he hadn't paid enough postage on it (I haven't been able to contact him as he's on holiday now)...

and there's options to pay - a) go to the royal mail depo (need ID - I asked my mate to send it to a false name), b) do it online with a debit card and they'll send it out, or c) add 1.50 pounds worth of stamps onto the card and post it back to the depo and they'll send it out...

if I do the latter choice (seems to be the safest?) - will I have the cops knocking at my door? as not only will it be for the weed (only 20 quids worth), but as the name was a false name of the jiffy bag...

what to do...

Tough choice.... I would be tempted to forget all about it, but I can be paranoid like that....

If you leave it there, the smell will leech out. They will open it & contact the po po. I would go down the there & pay the dosh, & get it out of there fast. The police have zero evidence either way, but if you grow too, I'd keep them away from your house.

Having said that you could always try the ignorant approach, as long as your buddy hasn't put anything inside that could incriminate you or him ie. your name, his, a playful little note you can try to claim you know nothing, that the address must be wrong as it's not your name. If I was going to do that I'd add the postage to the return card to save having to go to the office and I'd definitely speak to mate first, you don't want an Austin powers moment "that's not my bag baby"

yeah, that was my thought too - as if it's left there (no return address on it) then they may open it... but i can just deny everything - as I don't grow and haven't smoked any for a year or so anyway (so, won't see any evidence etc here)... and if they ask about the card I could say I thought it was a a scam and said I binned it..
