Question Help - Seedling unwell/starting slow

    Hello out there weed tokers.

Please help if you can, I had these 5 under 2x 300w LED panels and the 150w super cool white CFL....

I think this was too much light and the colour of the leaves lost a bit of nitrogen.

Trueberry is worrying me, it has purple in the leaves and the leaves aren't growing properly like the other seedlings.

I've changed the lighting, I figured 750w was too much, now only a total of 300w 1x super cool white 1x cool white CFLs.

And.... I may have over watered slightly....

They are two weeks old, the single with no pair in the tray was seed soaked after the others when 2 didn't sprout and it's out in front of the Trueberry which is looking poorly.

Anyone out there who knows seedlings, let me know if you can recognise any symptoms in the little mucker with it's cotyledons still.

    Many Thanks

I would hope they should come good under the
Cfls and I'd repot them now.
Let them get some feed under the less light.
    Should perk up then.

They look like they have uptake issues. Perlite in the soil will help and letting the soil dry out between watering. There's plenty of light. 150w of cfl is plenty for seedlings.

What soil is it? Could it be too hot on nutrients like miracle grow soil or something ?

Thanks jolly green, thanks Erb + M_C.

I didn't think of repotting since they're kindof early and my other soil is a little spicy....

The compost in the seed tray is B&Q sowing and cutting compost, with a little sand, peat moss (could be the problemo) and perlite.... so not a lack of perlite...

I'll repot to 9cm cups tomorrow.... I should do it now. hmmmm

Thanks for the replies yo, cheque's in the mail.

Good vibes I hope come your way.

A new set of leaves coming in on the trueberry so not dead yet...

    Cheers!

The potting soil looks very wet and saugy my friend . For seedlings always have moist soil , just to say the soil can stick togethrr when pressed with your fingers , a fine mist with a spray bottle instead of a full drench .

I can't see any perlite in the soil so the ratio must be low. You need around 30% perlite for good drainage and quick root growth.

Also let them dry out until the top goes light coloured then just water them lightly so the soil stays airy and not sodden.

i agree with trex that soil looks water heavy. as mentioned add some more perlite. the manufactors never add enuff perlite imo

Yep, probably was too wet... they needed food too after being under too much light.

All doing ok in 9cm pots now, I'll get a pic up soon
