    Default How many 600w hps

    Just a quick one.got a 3 x 3 x 2 tent how many 600w hps will i need for ten plants in there?

    must be metres... no way he is growing in a 2 ft high space

    Am under the impression that a 600w HPS will cover an area 1 to 1.2m squared.
    2 x 2 HPS wouldn't cover enough and 3 x 3 for a total of 9x600w 5,400w just on lighting alone is a huge draw for a domestic percy setup. Not to mention the heat.
    Maybe a mixture of HPS and CMH.

    CMH HPS CMH
    HPS CMH HPS

    5 x 600w
    4 x 315x , 4260w draw on lights alone.

    Would love to see the results!

    I don't think he will have to illuminate the whole area equally.
    10 plants (depending on the strain) can fit in a much smaller space than 3x3
    The question is how much yield is he shooting for?
