Mars II are £145-£300 and that's a step out of my budget for my first grow of one plant!

Would the Mars Hydro 300 be suitable?

Looking at buying the Mars Hydro 300, but then again, I'm now looking at grow tents, is it worth the purchase? 60x60x140?

I have ordered a grow tent & 300 LED light.. what do you mean top of the leaves? Cover the whole seedling? Or just to below the leaves?

Yes just bury it up it's lowest Leaf in the soil. It will start growing roots from the stem that you buried.

This photo shows my plant under it's new light which I setup on the 21st. I buried the plant up to the leaves as I was told!

Does all look okay now? Bare in mind I planted the seed on the 9th and she had come through the soil on the 13th. My light was not sufficient enough so I purchased the larger Mars 300 LED & a grow tent.

All comments are appreciated as it is my first grow!

Like everyone else says fella a bigger light, if I had your light I would prob have light straight touching it, we all start somewhere mate so good luck.
Roll with it and practice until you find the dollar to invest in better equipment, but get advice off here next time before you go shopping, growers on here will save you money in the long run, learnt so much myself off the talk, legends on here always looking to help!

The Mars 300 is loads brighter than my original light? 135w LED - replaces HPS/HID/MH: 150 watt

Surely that'll be suitable for one plant?

The Mars 300 draws around 140w

But I assume it'll be suitable for my one plant first grow?

Didn't want anything too big, limited space and didn't want to have overkill!

Yes, but more light is better. You should go with a general rule of 100w per plant minimum.
