    Default Drying cabinet humidity

I've read that the drying cabinet humidity should be around 50 - 55% but mines at 65% and I can't get it to go below that.

I've removed all the cloth filters on the intake fans and exhaust fans to increase air flow but all that did was drop the inside temp 1 degree from 19 to 18 degrees c.

I've got a tray of rice in there but that doesn't seem to be doing much.

The trim on the bottom of the cabinet has already shrunk so and is drying so it is doing it's job.

Should I worry about the humidity?

    Cheers.

i normally dry in damper conditions than that GM, (70%+RH) not out of choice mind, but it works perfectly fine and dries slower and cures better because of it

just keep a vigil for any mould as always but dont worry too much about it

    Cheers matey!

I was at first having my fans on for 2 hours and off for one.
The theory being a slower cure allowing some humidity to remain between the fans being on and off so that they don't dry out too fast but the humidity was getting too high so I've now got the fans on 24hr with no cloth filters / defusers which gives me 65%RH and 18 degrees c temps.

I'm well pleased with the temps. The cabinet is performing well considering it started it's life designed as a grow box lol.
Blooming bedroom stinks to high heaven tho lolz.
Going shopping tomorow to get a load of them auto air freshners for outside the bedroom and hall, stairs etc and setting them to the shortest delay lol.

    Cheers again DJ!

Yeah cheers DJ - I was worried about my garage which was about 70% humidity & very cool...but I put a little fan blowing just below them and after 2 weeks, the first lot were nearly ready, so I brought them inside to my bedroom cupboard for 2 days just to dry a little more & they are now in kilner jars curing...its got to be the smoothest smoke I have had for years...so fucking chuffed...first ever grow...now I've got the bug but only outside for now (once a year but man does it take up a lot of time, worrying etc - well worth it though)
