Default thinking about pruning to prevent pop corn buds....

I wouldnt prune too much in flower if at all. I would have thought that if your taking away your damegeing it evan if its only a little. And in flower you want it concentrating on one things and that producing buds.

With that being said taking a few fan leaves from the bottom shouldnt do much harm.

I defoliated last night, small stuff from bottom that's not gunna do anything anyhow (or clone em), also any huge fan leaf blocking good portions. Also read much and know people who defoliate thought out flower, it's very much strain touchy so go light on it & she'll let you know 😆

They just re-sprout so don't see the point personally, they clearly don't focus all the attention to the tops as some people say. So I've stopped. I do lightly defoliate though, only a little bit at a time so I don't shock them. Noticed the fan leaves aren't re-sprouting as vigorously as they did in early flower so I presume that if if got rid of the popcorns they won't re-sprout as much as they did initially. But daren't risk putting them into shock while the tops are bulking out so I've opted to leave them. Hope I've done the right thing.

I've never had a chopped shoot resprout.

In previous grows I would cut out lower bud sites but leave the leaves until the plant drops them on its own which it will eventually if it doesn't use them. Especially towards end of flower when in flush .

I've no idea how it effects yield but I know it saves a shit load of trimming crap bud.

If you make concentrates then you could just use it all for that.

I always prune the bottoms, once when I flip to 12/12 then about 2-3 weeks later I trim again. Never had issues with growth slowing. Getting rid of all the lower stuff results in a much better harvest from my experience. Looking at the pic I'd be trimming the lower 2/3 off and leaving maybe 2-3 fan leaves down each branch.
