hi Fwank thanks for info, started seeds in rockwool but found out it can upset PH so will give them a miss next time. My PH of water is 6.3 had to PH down a lot over a few days, as just kept rising to like 8.0 but very stable now. And EC is 0.8 with one change of res so far but will change again. what do you give from seeds from start if anything

Rock wool is inert buddy. That means nothing in it reacts and it doesn't each anything so clean rock wool can't change ph.
It's wise to soak your rock wool in ph 6.0 water prior to using it. Check the water they are soaking in and oh it again if you need to. It should then remain stable.
I wouldn't feed a seedling any base nutrients. I'd use rhizotonic as that has a low npk level but also has loads of beneficial ingredients for rApid root growth which is what a seedling needs before it worries about things above ground.
If using base Nutes an Ec of 0.2 over background is plenty. High levels will stunt growth badly and possibly even kill them eventually.
Drop that Ec as said earlier buddy and get light as close as you can.
