    Default First Time RDWC

Hello Hello Growers This is my first grow in RDWC and my first post in THC Talk. Glad to be here!
Was hoping i could get some advice from some of you fellow RDWC'ers

Currently running a 4 bucket system in 5 gallon buckets
    Water: RO
    PPM: 500 - 600
    Temps: 62 - 66
    PH: 5.8 to 6.0
Seeds: 2 x Zombie Kush by Ripper Seeds and 2 x Sensei Star by Paradise Seeds
Nutrients: Remo's Line with some Silica and I am running H202 (switching to calcium hypochrolite next rez change as my research has led me to believe this is the most efficient/cost effectice solution to keep a sterile rez although i am up for suggestions if you guys have a better solution)

Anyways everything started amazing although i have been having some issues as of late. Please see pictures below of the grow pics to date.

Anyone that has any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I went to the hydro store today and my buddy there told me I am running my rootzone way too cold. And my plants are probably having problems taking in the nutes. I do have a chiller so I am hoping that is the problem. I actually went there to get some epsum salt as another fellow grower suggested it. I am running about 150 to 200 ppms or remos magnifical. Hope all this information helps. All the research ive done says Oxygen is absorbed best at 65 degrees.

If you are using RO water, you will need to add calcium. They look like they are suffering cal deficiency to me.

What ec are you feeding them at and what is it made up of, e.g 2ml/litree grow or whatever?

Your temps in the water should ideally be 17-20 degrees C. If your root zone is too cold, then add an aquarium heater.

Your chiller is used to cool the nutrient and wont be affecting the temps, as you will have the chiller set to 19 degrees hopefully.

With regard to the nutrients, please please please make sure that you are not using anything organic, or you will be in for a world of pain.
Check the nutrient bottles and let us know some more information

    Hey buddy,

Thanks for the response. I am currently using Remo's Line of nutrients. I am using the Micro, Grow and Magnifical. I screwed up at the very beginning and had organics in the res using the velokelp in there as well. I was running voodoo juice but decided to switch to a sterile res instead. I was using h202 but it is not cost effective and from my research calcium hypochlorite seems to be the best method so i am going that route. My temps were at 62 to 65 degrees but i just raised it a few degrees. I do require the chiller because without it the temps will get too hot.

I am using 6 ML of Magnifical per gallon so I think I am putting enough cal but maybe not. Everyone's been telling me to go light with Remos line because its strong but with these plants I beg to differ.
