Recommended fan and filter sizes

Hi guys, hope ur all good 👍👍
Just a quickie, I have a 120x 120 tent with 600w hps cooltube.
At the mo my extractor fan is a s and p silent 5 inch with rhino 5 inch but the shorter model. After about 3 weeks of flowering I'm starting to notice the smell outside my tent, seems the fan is not strong enough? What is there recommended size I need, shall I go to and 8 inch s and p, which I like because very quiet, and a 8 inch filter, but obvioulsly the room in the tent is an issue? Is it better to oversize and use a fan speed controller or any other ideas guys?.....
Also any other ideas on a really quiet fan, not rvk!... Noise not a problem but I'm a light sleeper so...... Need something that don't bother me! 😳

i went bigger for my 1.2x1.2. so running 8inch Gekko Extractor Fan (1000 m3/hr) with 8inch rhino pro. i have used the td silent5inch in a 1x 1 tent an didnt find it great tbh.
got me fans plugged in ecotechnic controller. would defo recommend one them matey. great piece of kit

not cheap them bastards wen ya go bigger. then again neither was me gekko lol
