    Best of luck.
What node would you recon is a good time for topping an auto? I've seen conflicting from 3rd node to 5th. I'll probably grow the same two strains after these are in jars and try topping to see what the difference is.

Ive only ever seem one person top an auto and it was on its 3rd true node. But most people say never to tpp an auto as it wont recover in time and end up creating very low quality buds. But on the other hand the one guy I have seen do it had quite a decent harvest so up to you. But yeh he did it at the third true node

As early as possible, I think 5th is too late as the plant will have already started shifting its processes over flowering even if it doesn't look like it yet.

I've had mixed result with it tbh but the earlier I got in there the better it turned out.

Alright this grow I wont top, but second grow i'll run the same seeds (won't be exactly the same obviously because not clones) but I'll top at the third node, and see what kindof difference I get with them.
I guess topping would be better with slower autos, maybe I'll try an ak47. SO MANY OPTIONS SO MUCH CHOICE.

Topping an auto isn't the problem it's made out to be, it's just getting her at the right time...

The 3rd (true) node is always where I have topped at, it's grabbing the plant at the end of its veg time & beginning of its flower time. If you wait for the 4th true node, she will already have started to flower and the window of opportunity is lost

I just had the first true node come out on the blueberry so I think I'll top it - got nothing to lose lol. Thanks for the advice, I'm feeling a bit easier about topping it now.

i meant that i'd top it on the third node when that comes out, not that i'll lob the only bit of plant that's there.

I also prepped another pot & germing another seed because why not, I was bored.
