hello! ive never planted a seed in my life ha, but ive got 5 germinated seeds in my hot press, used the paper towel method. Anyone have any advice regarding what soil to use or how often to water them. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Cheers

    Hi mate, welcome along

Can't really go wrong with a bit of B&Q Verve Multipurpose compost

& water when the pots become light

Welcome along. A very open question you ask, there will be plenty of advice I'm sure and there is more than you can read. Good luck.
How are you going to be them? Under lights, green house, out doors as this will depend on what you do. Firstly pot them up in to 4 inch pots with good compost and water lightly - don't waterlog the compost.

Cheers for the advice. They're planted now. How often to water is still bugging me tho, like i say I'm clueless, I dunno if I'm giving them too little or drowning them. I got seed starting compost and sprayed them. Soil seemed dry a few hours later so i sprayed them again. What if I put them in a water tray and let the water soak up from underneath?

Its gonna be an outdoor grow. Im in Ireland so the weather is likely to be pretty shite, so I might build a small Poly-tunnel to protect them a bit. trying to grow a few tomato plants aswell to make them look a bit less conspicuous. I should probably try and find a tomato growing forum too

If I was you while your read read read, bang a post in the mentoring section , see if you can get some one on one help. Be sure to add as much detail of your planned grow as possible to get some ones interest.
