Default I don't understand the flowering cycle

    Alright buds.

Can anyone tell me the story with the flowering cycle? If a plant has a flowering time of 55 days does this mean its ready to cut down after 55 days? Or flowering time starts after 55 days and you don't cut it down for another while after that?

Stupid question probably but I really don't know.

It's ready to cut down when the trichromes tell you it is.
Don't worry about what comes with the seeds time wise, there are too many variables (medium, lighting, heat, humidity etc etc) to make an accurate assumption, however the estimate given for flowering time is usually the amount of time the plant spends in the flowering stage, not the stage of it's life - that would be "seed to smoke" You can actually find a lot of information for seed to smoke times on autos, but for photoperiods it's completely your choice when they flower.

Anyway it's not a stupid question. Seedling > veg > flower (spends 55 days in flower) > harvest.
That's the general idea, but don't go by that time it only gives you a rough estimate, go by the colour and % of your frost.
I hope that cleared it up.
