I'm in my 7th week of 12/12 for my critical plants and my leaves are very dark green. I now know this to be a sign of nitrogen over feeding which was caused by me using an a&b from a different company. I was using canna without any problem and tried plant magic which it turns out is way too strong.
Realising the issue, I flushed the coco and swapped to canna again about 10 days ago. I've dropped the ec to about 0.8 but the leaves wouldn't get lighter so now I'm at about 0.8ec but made up of hardly any a&b base nutes and mostly green planet massive 1/1.5/2.8 npk and some canna pk 13/14.
My theory being to reduce the amount of N in the solution, forceing the plant to use up its stored N but still provide plenty of P and K while in this later stage of flower.
Am I over complicating all this or has anybody got a better idea of how to reduce the stored N in my plants? Obviously too high N disrupts the flowering process which is what I'm trying to avoid.
Thanks for reading all this
