The same apply to LED lights? The budget ones aren't worth it over the better ones? Cos this makes me lean towards advanced platinum lights

No real idea on LEDs, I dipped my toe in once & purchased one... went back to my HPS very soon afterwards Other people have had some great results... it seems to be a bit manufacturer dependent

If you want to completely Cover your Grow area of 1.2x1.2 meters with LED light you are looking to invest big amount of money mate..I would say at least 600£. Two Prakasa 300w Will do the job and they will use between 270-300w true watts each. In total you will get around 550-600w which will be the same as 600w hps... the final result will be better running the 600w HPS.. it will cost you the same the run, just a bit less as you will need less extraction. But you can get a good HPS KIT for 100£..

I wouldn't waste over 550£ on that light personally.

I'm just about to begin a diary for the first time, could be handy for you. I'm growing pineapple chunk & 8 ball kush in coco using general hydroponics flora trio. I have a small tent 1.2mX1m and im going to use 200w CFL for veg and a 600w HPS for flower, might struggle with the heat but 1 step at a time.

As long as your ventilation is up to scratch it should be no issue - outside summer temps may be an issue though

I'm already noticing the summer temp issues! it was 40 degrees yesterday I have got a bigger extractor which i will swap over the weekend. I think I will use the other one for pulling fresh air into the tent - that should help
