Default Need fleabay suggestions and advice. 4 inch intake

    I have two tents a 80 x 80 x 160 and one is 250 x 140 maybe x 220 tall

I was exhausting both with one twin speed rhino at full blast but the noise is annoying me, temps are climbing as summers comes around and I have bought an 8" rvk L1 and ecotechnics evolution fan controller to exhaust the big tent and the rhino twin will be slapped onto the smaller one.

Im not too concerned with what 4" will go on the big tent as it keeps quite cool due to its size and that I use LEDs.

But them fan controllers aint cheap damnnnnn so the second tent id like a fan that is some what quiet and reasonably priced.

Fleabay item 182419516632 looks ideal altho the seller only has one and does any one know if those built in fan controllers are just humming machines? I have an SMS fan controller that made my twin speed rhino hum awefully so its chucked in a box atm

    Bros...what do?

I have an SMS fan controller too

I find that if the speed drops too low then I get a hum...

You should look at a variac controller mate

See my post on my old grow diray

I got a £60 variac box of eBay. Works wonders. No hum what so ever with variac. (just search SILENT FAN SPEED CONTROLLER - VENTILATION & HYDROPONICS £59.95)

I also, if you need to regulate temperature found a device called InkBird, for the money it's bloody brilliant.

You'll see Ironworks got one and was rating it too

SMSHrbids won't hum either but they're expensive, i keep being told Echtechnics as awesome but again on the pricey side. (not variac but keep reading they don't hum over more than 40ish%)
This £90 setup i have has been regulating temps for 6 months no issues

I have a 6" RVK fan with 6" Rhino Hobby filter and 100% my 1.2x1.2x2m tent is literally being sucked in half you'll suck your room inside out with that 8" lmao

    Happy growing dude

Thanks guys for the suggestions but I guess I wasnt clear enough.

I bought an Ecotechnics Evolution to regulate one tent.

I dont really feel like spending that much money on another one for the small tent as its not really needed.

I need fan suggestions not fan controller suggestions. I was looking at fans that have speed controls on them and was wondering if anyone had any exp with them if they are just the cheapos or not.

My rhino twinspeed is encased in a crapton of glass fiber and cardboard and what not so it doesnt really make any noise. I need 2 new intake fans that are 4" as they dont really need to be big the tents keep quite cool. but as they are small I need em to be quiet. but not ridiculously expensive either.

Rvk 4" is pretty silent. With a filter you hardly hear it. Mines wrapped in some old clothes and its silent.

The best fan with controller built in is the hyper fan.

I built a single budlightyear type of variac. Which is due to be upgraded to a twin variac.

    My setup is:

    80 x 80 & 1.2 x 1.2

    4" & 6"l1 rvk

I have the 4" vent from the 80 to the 1.2. And extract out of the 1.2 with the 6" rvk.
