It's Not What You Know, It's What You Can Prove
Not good then. I will get getting the hose pipe on it tonight and soak the tree down as it says lack of rain is one cause. No cider making for me this year. Last year was the best I've ever harvested. But the april and may was rather wet...

If it's PM mate it's going to need a lot more than a shower to be brutally honest this shit works on a cellular level, and I've seen and read about big gardens taken out with it, plz be careful as not to take it near any other plants and get rid of the leafs(not sure if you mulch sorry).
If it's not a special plant get rid mare
If it is I would have a good read on building up your plants SAR
Best wishes

It didn't have it last year or the year before that. My other apple tree is fine which is about 20 ft away. When the autumn comes I collect and bin the leaves. It's well over 10 years old and would be gutted to see it go. I'll see what happens this year and maybe hack her down in winter =(

There's plenty you can do mate in the soil for the health of the tree, like you say would be a real shame to lose it.
It's only here and there so just remove damaged leaves like your doing and maybe look into mulching etc round it to build up the life in the soil?
